From the store front prayer meeting of foreign laborers to the multicultural families of modern Oahu, for over 120 years people have gathered with this community. Founded as a place for people from “someplace else”, our faith community gathers families and people from across the life of the island—Hawaii Kai to Kapolei, Haleiwa to Kailua, mechanics to professors, doctors to stay-at-home moms, retirees to college students, babies to grandparents.  We strive to not only deepen ourselves in God's love, but to carry out God's love. Through our efforts and partnerships, we hope to bring transformation to our communities and the world. Amid this cosmopolitan center of people from so many other places, we strive to extend a semblance of the welcome, hospitality, and love Jesus offered to people on the physical and spiritual edges of the community. We have a clear vision for our mission and life together rooted in Christ demonstrated values.
At St. Peter’s Church, we not only share our faith and mission of God in Jesus Christ, but we spend time together as friends and family. We hope individuals and families find with us a haven for stability, breathing-room, personal connections, enduring relationships, and care. We hope sanctuary can be experienced in the beauty of our gatherings and space. The people of St. Peter’s represent generations who have worked to improve our community and gather God’s people together in a refreshing community of love and joy. We desire to demonstrate God’s presence and power of Jesus Christ. We hope our efforts offer a semblance of all that is holy. |
