Our Church

The Stained Glass Window
Above the Mauka Doors of St Peter's          All baptized Christians may receive communion at the altar rail. The Lord's Supper, which we remember and celebrate with Holy Communion, unites all Christians.  If you are not baptized, you may still receive God’s blessing in a prayer.  Also, contact the church office or our senior clergy person if are interested in being baptized.

St. Peter's began as a Chinese laborer congregation in a grocery store. It maintains its Chinese character to this day, although people from many ethnic groups find a home here. The current building was built in 1914. Many of the original members could speak no English, but reflecting the changes in the Chinese community in Hawaii, services have been in English since the 1950s.

What strikes the visitor on first entering is the beauty of our church building. The emphasis on Koa and stained glass creates a place of light and warmth where one may meet God.
