Soul Food Ministry
When do we meet?
1st Wednesday of the month, 6:30-8:30pm The Soul Food Ministry gathers on the first Wednesday of each month to make and package soup for individuals in the congregation or the community who are sick, recovering from illness, adjusting to a new baby, homebound, or simply in need of nourishment for body and soul. Snacks, drinks and a potluck supper are enjoyed while soup simmers on the stove. It is not only an important time of service, but also a wonderful time of fellowship. The Chicken Juk continues to be a favorite and is prepared every month in addition to one other soup decided upon by the group such as chicken barley, spilt pea, minestrone, lentil, or corn chowder.
