I've actually enjoyed being on the Vestry and also as Senior Warden these past few years! As a member of St. Peter's all my life, I firmly believe that the good Lord has blessed all of us with certain talents, knowledge, and skills, and it's our responsibility to give back to our community whenever we can. |

I started attending the 10:00 a.m. service with my husband in June 2018. Ollie, our fur baby, attends occasionally. A potpourri of factors led Jason and I to St. Peter's, which I felt was God's Calling: Our love for beautiful stained glass windows and vintage church architecture, Jason's Chinese heritage, and the female leadership. My favorite scripture passage is the following: The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26) "By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desire. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided b the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another." |

Barton and I came to St. Peter's Church in 2014. We had been looking around for a new church in our area and found out that St. Peter's had a Jazz Vespers. We thought that was very cool. We were impressed the minute we walked into the Church and have been here since. My favorite food is the ahi sandwich at Kakaako Kitchen. Of course they are closing so I don't know what I will do. My favorite mantra when I am distressed is "All is well, all is well, all manor of things are well." This was taken from Julian of Norwich. |

Since 2016, I have been attending the 10:00 a.m. service here at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. As a baptized and confirmed Episcopalian on Kauai, I was delighted when I learned that cousins Paula Choy and Sheri Yoshida were attending St. Peter's. They warmly welcomed me as did the other church members. I love to travel, play Mah Jong, and enjoy Japanese food. I have been blessed with an opportunity to visit the Holyl Land twice - once with St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Upland, California, in 2012 as a oilgrim, and again in 2019 on an educational tour. Both journeys provided very different and memorable experiences. Serving on St. Peter's Vestry provides an opportunity to learn mre about its ministry to the members as well as those in our community. I look forward to engaging more with members of our church so that I can get to know them even better. The blessing that our Curate, Rev. Jazzy, would share on Sunday is most meaningful to me: Life is short, and we have too little time to gladden the hearts of those who walk the journey with us. So be quick to be kind, make haste to love, and may the bessing of God Almighty, who Creates, Redeems and Sustains, be with you this day and remain with you always. Amen. |

I am the one you see walking around taking photos at services and gatherings. Joining St. Peter's was like a homecoming because as a Priory student, many chapel services were at St. Peter's, including my baptism. Blessed with husband, Taka, who is in the choir, and daughters, Sela, Ella and Lena who are acolytes. |

As a teenaged member and now a much older adult member of St. Peter's Church, I look forward to being part of the Vestry to help execute ongoing programs and projects. Throughout my life, God has blessed me in so many ways, and I hope to share what talents I have, to extend his message and reach as well. |

My family has been coming to St. Peter’s for about 6-7 years. My wife, Tricia usually works on Sunday so she comes when she is on vacation. My daughter Jenna is an acolyte. She will be off to college soon and is busy making sure the younger acolytes can take over while she is away. We usually attend the 10am service. I enjoy our warm and friendly fellow parishioners. |

As a life-long Episcopalian, I was born, raised and had my career in New York. Then my husband [Harley] and I retired to Hawai’i after 37 years at United Airlines [Harley] and 33 years for me as a middle school math teacher. A few years ago we found our way to St. Peter’s and are very happy to be here. I joined St. Peter's Knit Two, Pray Too (K2P2) knitting ministry and soon realized it was time to do more for St Peter’s. You can catch me at the 7:30 service. |

Around 2006, we were looking for a church home that would welcome our family and give our daughter a place to learn and grow with a church community. We found ourselves at St Peter's Episcopal Church and immediately discovered it is what we had imagined. Many years later, our daughter (Ashlyn) has grown up and started college in Portland and it made me realize that I have more time now to perhaps do things I was unable to do when we were busy shuttling her to all her activities. So, now seems the right time to join the vestry and see what contributions I may be able to make to continue the progress of our church into the future. Hopefully, a future where Covid will be discussed in the past-tense and we will be able to celebrate Jesus and his teachings and be able to do together in one place again. I am currently working at a Electrical Distribution company as a accounting specialist and see retirement in my near future. |

Sewing, singing, doing crafty things, and reading make me happy. I enjoy opportunities to integrate these (limited) skills as I strive to live my life as a faithful being and to share our salvation message. I am grateful to have served God and my fellow members of St. Peter's the past few years on the Vestry. It illustrates that anyone, even me, can serve God and this community of believers. |
